Labor Day

This past weekend we went up north for our yearly Labor Day trip to our good friends Jill and Evan's cabin. They have the most amazing cabin in the middle of nowhere by the rim. It is gorgeous inside and outside there is more than you can imagine to do/play with. We stayed up all night going on our traditional "night rides". Played games all day and the kids ran wild having the time of their lives. There were 43 of us this year!! It was crazy but it was so much fun. I would wake up in the night to get a drink and there would be people still awake or watching movies.. at all times of the night! Is had so much fun going on rides with just "the girls" to the gate where we would hang out for hours laughing and singing karaoke. We played cards, horsehoes, washers and rode dirtbikes, 4 wheelers, rhinos and jeeps. The kids spent all day running around in herds riding 4 wheelers, playing on the playground and other random games they made up. It was so much fun! I miss all of you already!! xo

Most of the girls.. we had so much fun sitting around playing cards and talking! I miss all of you already!!

This is what happens to the daughters of a bunch of hairstylists..

Kelan rode this around for 3 days.. I am not kidding. He loved it and is really good on it. (except the time he ran over poor Brig!!)

The horseshoe and washer pits. We played both of these games almost all day, everyday.

The playground where the little girls spent most of their time

This is Jim's trailer and right behind it is where most of the boys spent their time riding dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, pretty much everything with wheels. They made jumps and all day long they buzzed around in circles. Even Kelan took his 4 wheeler on the jumps!

We tried to entertain all the kids with games. This night we played hot potato and another potato game.. not sure the name. It was hilarious though! The kids broke into 3 teams and each had a potato. They had to throw the potato on to a piece of foil and if they missed had to grab the potato and spell out their names with their butts. We laughed so hard! The boys were the funniest because they could not move their hips! So much fun!!

Thankyou Jill and Evan for invitig us once again to your beautiful cabin. It was so, SO much fun and we can't wait for next year (hopefully sooner) that we can all go again.
