I SWORE my whole life that MY kids would never wear "character" shoes!!! But, when Janie came out of her room so proud of herself for picking out and getting her own shoes on for preschool I once again "ate my own words!" I am reminded daily that it is the small things like wearing dress-ups out to dinner, wearing ALL of your necklaces and bracelets to church and "character" shoes that light up when you walk that can make your whole day. So, with a big smile on her face and a new spring in her step MY kid wore "character" shoes to preschool!
(by the way.. I can thank Grandma for buying them in the first place!)
